Road Trip

In October, we drove from Michigan to Colorado to Idaho to Utah to Colorado and back to Michigan.  It was a LONG drive! But is was nice to see family that we had not seen in about 2 years and that had never met Jacob.

We left when Jon got off work and drove all night and most of the next day. The boys slept most of the night. Keriann slept in the back while Jon drove, until about 4:00 in the morning. Then we switched about every hour.

The first few hours were the worst and we almost turned around and said forget it. James got car sick and threw up all over himself and his booster. Jacob screamed nonstop. When we finally gave James something to help him not get so car sick and sleep, and turned on a light at the back of the van, things went more smoothly. Jacob was just scared of the dark, and we forgot that James is cursed with Mommy and Daddy's motion sickness. Here are some pictures from all our driving.

We decided afterwards, that it was great to see so much family and it was nice to have our own car, but we do not want to drive that far for another 2 years.

Colorado

Our first stop was in Lyons, Colorado to visit Jon's brother and his family. We were all tired when we got there, but after some sleep, we had a great time. Chatting with Paul, Jon's brother, and letting the boys play with Erin before we got some sleep.

Maybe because he was playing with a Cinderella toy. The boys loved the horse.

James gave Jacob a ride down to the mailbox to check the mail.

We enjoyed our time in Colorado! We had some great barbecue, helped can chicken, and enjoyed running in the mountains. We hope to visit again soon!

Idaho

After Colorado, we visited in Idaho. I did not take many photos, but we enjoyed our time with family and friends. James loved jumping on the trampoline with his cousins.

The adults enjoyed that the boys went outside to play more and were on the computer less.

Jacob also enjoyed the trampoline when the older boys would let him jump. These three boys had a good time playing.

Jon and I were able to attend the temple where we had been married. We also enjoyed seeing most of our family on both side!

Maybe Back to Blogging

I know it has been a long time.  Not sure if anyone even checks this anymore.  I finally transferred the pictures off my camera. The last time I had done that was September 6, so I has been a while.  I am hoping to get somethings up on here from the last few months.  I cannot promise anything, but I am going to try.

Utah

After our visit to Idaho, we spent some time in Utah with Jon's parents. Jon's sister was also there with her son and Mother-in-law. James loves this toy.

It is actually a pet shop, but it works great as a car garage. Jacob and Ethan watching TV.

We were able to go to the Hoggle Zoo while we were in Utah. The elephants.

We ended up stopping back in Colorado on the way home, but I did not take any pictures then. It was a good trip.  A long drive, but good trip.

Seals

Fall

I love Michigan in the Fall!  I have said this many times before, but it is just such a wonderful season here.  I took this picture for my mom.

Last year she was here to watch the leaves change and then fall.  It drops a ton of leaves. It is beautiful when it changes colors.

I also love to go to Meijer Gardens in the Fall.  One day this month we met some friends there. Here is James and John looking out the window.
