Children's Museum

We went to the a Children's Museum for the first time in almost two years! Why has it been so long? Well, James used to scream whenever we went places and it was time to go home. It was a fight, and it was not worth it to me, so we stay away.

James does a lot better now, and we had lots of fun at the Museum here in town.  I have considered getting a membership, but have not yet, and it might have to wait now for a few more months. Anyway, here are some pictures.

I did not think I would ever get James away, but he did eventually see other fun things to do.

James also spent a lot of time sorting the dog bones

and putting them in the doggie dishes.

The last thing we did was build with these fun blocks.

Hopefully, we will get back to the museum before we move away. It was lots of fun!

One Year

Jacob turned one on September 18! He was 31.5 inches tall (95%) and 24 pounds, 12 ounces (90%). Sadly, the poor boy was sick with a fever around 103. We did open presents that night, but held off on cake until he was feeling better. Mom helping.

James at one looked at his cake with disgust and pushed it onto the floor.  Not Jacob.

Backpack, backpack...

I made James a backpack for school.

He loved it for a few days.

Now he does not use it much.

I think realizing he could not stuff it full of his toys and bring those to school might be a factor in why he will not use it.

Preschool

James started preschool on September 6, 2012. Before his first day.

I got to stay his first day to help him get used to it.  James would have been fine without me there.  He loves it.  There are so many fun things to do.

Manistee, MI

The middle of August we went to a wedding in Manistee, MI.  One of Jon's classmates got married, and that is where she is from. It was a fun drive and our boys did really well.  We went to a park during the actual wedding. Then we met up with some other friends and went to the reception. If you look close to this picture you will see us in the back of our minivan.  I think I am changing my shoes.

We also had some family pictures taken on the stairs outside the reception.

James would not smile normal. Oh well.
