Ball

James has discovered how fun a ball can be, now that he can grab it. Here is is with a stress ball that looks like a baseball.

Also, I was not able to get a sign done for James to hold, but I did remember. "Happy Birthday, Doug!" Hope you have a great day!

Daddy's Foot

"Daddy, Feed Me!"

Jon fed James for the first time. Yes, James is eating carrots. This was his first time experiencing them. I am just grateful that Jon is around for a little while to help with James. James loves it too, and will be sad when Daddy will have to be gone a lot again.

Like Father Like Son

Jon always crosses him ankles and rubs his feet together. I found out it is a Felt thing. Some of his siblings and nieces/nephews do it, too. Well, James crosses his ankles too. I have not seen him rub his feet together, but maybe he does.

Mom's Foot

James loves feet. He can sit and watch them for hours. His own or other peoples. Here he is with one of my feet.

Leaving

Hopefully by the time this posts, we will be on our way to D.C. I decided since I will not have as much access to the Internet and will not download any pictures off the camera until we get back to town, that I will schedule a bunch of posts before we leave. Stuff from the next few weeks will probably not show up until July and not the beginning of July either. Sorry! I will just not have much time to blog until after the 11th of July.

Yesterday was not a very eventful day for us. We just packed and had Stake meeting. Boring! Jon and I thought it would be important since it is the last one before Girls' Camp and Youth Conference.

Zoo

Yesterday, we went to the Toledo Zoo. I forgot the camera, though. We did try out our new Umbrella Stroller. James seemed to really like being able to see things better. The only animals he seemed interested in were some birds. I think mostly because, they were close to the fence and moved around a lot, making it easier to actually see them.

James feel asleep pretty quick, too. Because of this and the weather change, we really did not stay long. The morning would have been prefect at the zoo. There were a few sprinkles and the temperature was cooler. By the time we were able to get there, the sun had come out and it was super humid. Oh well, I guess it is great to have a zoo pass.

Wednesday night, we watched the National Treasure movies as a recommendation to get ready for our D.C. trip. We leave tomorrow!!!

Carrots

We found out James is allergic to carrots. Not a fun experience. He spits up a lot when he eats them (turns everything orange), and also gets a stomach ache and, naturally, cries. No more carrots!

Yesterday, we did not really do much else. I started to pack for our trip to figure out which suitcase we would need. Jon went to COSTCO when a friend and bought an iPod Touch for his next years as a med student and resident. We are also going to use it on our trip. We have loaded some games, and Cars on to it. I hope it helps with the drive.

Just two more days until we leave!

Relaxing

Monday, Jon took the car in to get the oil changed before our trip. We also went grocery shopping, so we could eat this week and get some snacks for our upcoming road trip. Mostly a day to get ready to go to D.C. For FHE, we watched Twilight. It was okay. I am just not into Vampires. I know every one thinks it is the best thing ever, but I am not convinced.

James has enjoyed having Daddy home more.

Raspberries

He Is Done!

We are so glad that Jon's test is over! No more studying for a while. Jon's brain is a little fried right now, not thinking too clearly.

After his test, we went out to dinner at Applebee's. We had a really good coupon, because we are "preferred costumers." We just filled out a survey a while ago and now we get all these deals. Not too bad. Then we just hung out at home the rest of the night.

Saturday morning, we cleaned the church. We got most of it down before the other ward had a baptism. When we got home we walked over to the park across the road (I-80) for a family potluck baby shower. Here are some pictures of James going down the slide with mommy.

Then, Jon and I went to Star Trek. I really liked it! I was amazed at how the story opened it up for them to do whatever they wanted next and still make those Trekkie's out there happy. Thanks for watching James, Leisy! He would not have liked the noise.

It's Your Birthday!

James wanted to say... Happy 26th Birthday, Kristy! That is right both of my younger sisters have their birthdays two days apart.
