James had his two month visit with the doctor yesterday. I cannot believe he is two months already. He is 12 pounds 15 ounces (50th percentile) and 23.25 inches long (75th percentile). His head is still in the 90th percentile. He also got his first immunizations (not counting the one in the hospital the day after he was born). He loved the oral one. They said it is really sugary and taste like grape. He was still enjoying the flavor, happy and content, when the nurse stuck him. He got a really shocked look on his face and then started to scream. She did the second one fast. Daddy was holding him for the shots, so he comforted him a little first and then it was to mommy. He quieted faster than I thought he would. The only problem came when I tried to put him in his car seat. He would not bend.
One sad thing, we have to go back for one more shot when it comes in. They were out of the Hib vaccine, and since there was a breakout recently of haemophilus, this is an important one for James to get. Poor little dude.

We also have some good news. James slept in his crib from 12:30 until 6:15 (waking up once to eat). The doctor wants James to be sleeping in his crib by four months, because she has so many patients that at their four month appointment have fallen off beds and couches. They are a little more mobile by four months. James did really well in his own bed last night. I hope it continues.
Jon and I went to the eye doctor today. We both are getting glasses in 7-10 business days! Jon is a little worried because he does not like change, but I think he will enjoy being able to see well again. We both got our eyes dilated and so we got these cool sunglasses to help us out in the bright sunshine.
Not much going on around here. James and I have been hanging out while Jon is in school. James has recovered from his shots. He was pretty sore the day after and cranky for about two days. He has to have one more shot on Monday. Poor thing!
Saturday was a day for smiles. Jon and I were able to attend the temple. It had been a long time, and was wonderful! My friend's son went through for the first time. He will leave for his mission on February 11th to the Utah Ogden Mission (well, the MTC first, but then to Ogden). The session was packed! The ordinance workers kept bringing in more folding chairs. There was an extra row added to the front and one chair to each row, with two added to the back row. I counted 13 extra chairs by the time they decided the session was full. There wasn't anywhere else to put chairs anyway. It is always fun to be in a session with other people you know.

I have been working on getting James to grab the rattle. The first time I go his fingers around it, he put it straight to his mouth and then dropped it. This time he held it for a while and Jon was able to get pictures.

Yesterday, Jon and I did not have to travel far for the unit conference. We were in our own ward this week. I was amazed at how full the chapel was with all the Stake Leaders in attendance.
There was only one really bad part about the day. Half way through sacrament meeting, I started having pain in my kidney. Yep that is right another kidney stone. Luckily this one is not very big, so the pain is not too bad. I was able to make it through all of the meetings without any problems.
